Come explore the wild world of sour beer with Allagash, the impeccable brewery in Portland, Maine that produces spontaneously fermented beers in the manner of Belgium's fabled Lambics. Fear not if you're unfamiliar—whether you're an Allagash aficionado or simply dig super-funktastic brews, this is the class for you. Brewmaster Jason Perkins has been by Allagash founder Rob Tod's side since 1998. Largely responsible for the unique and innovative beers coming out of the brewery, Jason is constantly traveling, researching and tasting spontaneously fermented and uniquely delicious beers. He’s coming to the Ferm School for a session all about the Allagash sour beer program, as well as his own experiences in barrel-aging, bugs and blending.
Beer will be served with cheese and light snacks.
